Really confused!!!

I read several times on this site that the 6 week mark is a good indication of your 3month status.(provided that the test result is negative)  I understand that 12 weeks is conclusive but i just read today on this same site that none of that really means a thing.  Only 12 weeks matters.  This is confusing to me because we were all also told that signs and symptoms also mean nothing also from this site.  I have had antibody test done my 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th and 8.5weeks all were negative.  Just when I got some peace of mind and paticently awaiting the 12th week i now dont know what to believe.  The reason for my concern i know is crazy but I contracted genital herpes during my potental exposure date and had the symptoms that match which are similar to ARS.  now im on my 11th week and I feel i need to test again because I have had a fever (99.5) and headache which starting today which has gotten me scared.

Do symptoms start this late for ars?
Can someone give me some clarity please before I go off the deep end?

Thank you in advance

ARS does not come on at 10 weeks. If one does have ARS it comes on 2-4 weeks post infection and lasts 1-2 weeks as you have been already told.

So is 6week and 8week test good indicators for the 3month mark or not at all?

also can symptoms start late for ARS?  (10weeks)

Herpies do not mask ARS symptoms if someone does indeed have ARS. If you have read anything on this forum you would have read over and over again that 3 months is when you can obtain a conclusive negative test. PERIOD.

i'm not sure of the particular post you are speaking of...but i would think that it was the one that was DELETED.  in that post...the argument (40 something comments) was whether or not a 6 week test was conclusive..

thanks for the quick response but lizzie, but teak was the one who stated these things that I mentioned.  do you think that the genital herpes symptoms could have masked any ars symptoms?

a 6 week test IS a good indication of your status...and is unlikely to change.  a test at 3 months is conclusive.

ars comes at 2-4 weeks and lasts for 1-2 weeks.
