Any thoughts from an expert?
What if the escort had a high viral load? Wouldn't that make it a high possiblity or higher? I have always been healthy, and for 5 weeks I have had health issues related to HIV symptoms. I seriously need someone who knows their stuff to communicate with me...please!
See a Dr, it is not HIV related
I now have a rash on my chest and back of the neck, accompanied by enlarged lymph nodes. Can anyone comment on the CDC's notes on oral sex and my symptoms? Do people like me get neglected because my symptoms point to HIV and it would discredit how emphatic some people are about the impossibility of transmission orally? I need some help, and someone to talk to. Please.
"Instances of HIV transmission during oral sex have been reported, but no exact estimates have been published." - CDC
Well, I never get sick. And I am very active and exercise religiously. After the possible-exposure I've been drained, my lymph node is almost golf ball size (2 weeks and a day post-encounter) in my neck and my nodes in my groin are in pain. I feel incredibly awful and my joints and muscles hurt. Isn't it likely especially if she recently contracted HIV and was much more contagious? If she had blood in her mouth?
Getting a blow job has never resulted in HIV transmission. It is a biological impossibility! Your symptoms need to be assessed by your doctor but it is not caused by HIV!
Can someone please answer about my lymph nodes being swollen and tender?
I have a large swollen tender lymph node in my neck and I heard that if they have acute HIV they are more contagious, even if its insertive oral. I'm really struggling here community. I still have a couple weeks before I get tested and I feel like I'm falling apart. I'm at 13 days post-possible-exposure and have one big swollen lymph node and seems like others in groin starting, feel hot, and have a headache a lot. I hope its not ARS but it sounds like there are too many symptoms here. As a side note I have no other previous STDs and didn't have cuts on my genitals, she however was very teethy and almost biting me. Someone please give me some guidance or help.
Oral = No risk. No need to be suicidal. Worrying will cause you more harm than anything.
