Received Oral Sex From a Middle Eastern Prostitute

Hello,

I'm a 25 year old medical doctor, will start residency in about a month.

Because I live in the middle east, being a 25 year old virgin is the norm.
But, in April 28 I had my first sexual act ever!
Oral sex/Hand job from a local prostitute.

HIV prevalence is extremely rare in my country (3-4 per million) and even a prostitute has a chance of more than 99.99% of being free.

The whole thing lasted about 5 minutes with lots of interruptions and exposure of my penis to air. She finished me off with a hand job.

I didn't see any blood in her saliva nor on my penis.

I know that saliva contains more than 20 enzymes that break HIV.

My penis was clear of scratches, tip of urethra intact.

I hadn't had any symptoms what so ever.

I know that my risk is actually zero and being a doctor and knowing the detailed patho-physiology of HIV transmission I should know better than to worry but having OCD and the fact that my new job depends on my HIV status cannot help putting my mind on ease.

So ... My question is:
What if she had micro-invisible bleeding, does saliva break HIV from this blood?
Can micro-invisible or even macro (But I didn't see it somehow) blood in saliva carry any risk?

Perhaps you have heard the saying "Physician Heal Thyself?"

If your sign in name is an indication of another issue you have, and I'm guessing OCD, you may want to look into some therapy to deal with that.

I trust you will find the answer(s) you are looking for and I wish you the very best, Doctor!

I'm surprised as a doctor you do not have access to this type of information, regardless of which country you are in.

As you know, you did not have unprotected, insertive sex so you are at no risk for HIV.

As  you also know, oral sex is not a risk factor for HIV, but you know you put yourself at risk for STD's and should be tested. The prostitutes in your country may be 99.9% clear of HIV, but unprotected oral sex drops those stats to the ground floor.

I am not a doctor, nor am I  studying to become one, therefore I have never taken a class in hematology and have never heard of "micro and or macro invisible blood." I am sorry I cannot answer that part of your question.

What we tell people here is that unless there is copious amounts of blood and both partners have open wounds in the mouth, the risk of orally spread HIV is zero.

I hope someone on here is also studying to become a doctor or a hematologist and can answer your question.
