and no appearance of blood in his mouth or on my penis.
My concerns are the following: 1. He deepthroated me most of the time. Could blood from his throat have entered my urethra? 2. He actually slobbered my penis with his salivia (appreared to be excess). The reason I ask is based on the following statement on the CDC website......"If the person performing oral sex has HIV, blood from their mouth may enter the body of the person receiving oral sex through the lining of the urethra (the opening at the tip of the penis)". The CDC further states......"Study results emphasize that any type of sexual activity with an infected person is a risk of HIV transmission. Oral sex with someone who is infected with HIV is certainly not risk free".
I've probably had sex with HIV+ guys before when their status wasn't disclosed and I'm still currently HIV-. I'll have to wait 3 months to know for sure. How concerned should I be?
Oral sex is not a mode of transmission of HIV. Saliva is not an infectious fluid with regard to HIV; in fact, it is an excellent barrier that destroys the virus pathogens.
The CDC publishes theoretical risks. This has never occurred in the almost 30 years of our knowledge of HIV. Billions of blow jobs and no HIV transmission is empirical evidence.
You are not the first person who has gotten deep throat oral from an HIV-positive individual, and you won't be the last. And you won't get HIV from the activity.
