Related to HIV??

Hi,

The HIV Combo test (CMIA) via Architect Plus / Abbott 4 months post exposure was negative (index value 0.20).

However, yesterday morning, i observed a sticky, dripping discharge while urinating (white or colourless i am not sure). This was the first time I was seeing something like this. Note that I was aroused yest morning. After this discharge, the urine has been normal. What could this be? I asked my HIV specialist and he said it is normal and could be just pre-cum.. and said there is no need for any STD testing.

Could this have been just pre-cum coming out with urine as a one-off case? or do I need any testing done? Is it a symptom of HIV? Note that  during the last 4 months, I have had several HIV tests done, all of which have come negative, including the DNA PCR at 20 days post exposure.

Now, this discharge has brought back my worries. Please advise.

1. No, everything is fine, if you dont have a burning sensation or pain in your testicals
2. dont think that it could affect your result. Only if the medications causes trouble with your immune system.

1) So, I need not worry about HIV and STDs, given the discharge incident?

2) Also, does any anti-depressant medications like Uvox etc. affect HIV antibody or HIV Combo test results? because I am on one of such medications and planning to take the HIV combo test at 6 months. Please advise.

You should ask in the STD section. Your "discharge" has nothing to do with HIV. Also your doc already told you that is nothing serious, trust him.
