Risk Assesment

I did something really stupid. I was drinking, hooked up with a transsexual and for about a minute I had un protective anal sex. I did the penetration. I did not ejaculation as I stopped when I realized what I was doing was wrong and how stupid it was. The transsexual claims to be HIV negative but what if that is not true. What is my risk of transmitting HIV? I know it was stupid thing to do and never will do it again because the stress of worrying is just too much. I plan on getting tested in 3 months and than again in 6 months. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

First, calm down a bit.  Though what you did is considered risky on the scale, it's not something to lose your head over.  The chances the tranny had HIV times the chance you'd acquire it if she (he?) did have it put you at 1 in thousands.

It's considered high risk.

Regarding the odds of insertive anal IF (!) receiver is positive I read different things. Dr HHH once said 1 in 200-500. Wikipedia says 6.5 in 10,000 (1 in 1,500).

Most people, even in high risk groups, are not positive.

So calm down and get tested after 6 weeks and 3 months for conclusive.
