Risk? Pep?

This morning I had oral sex with my partner, me giving and he receiving. He is HIV+ and on therapy medication...I am HIV negative.

I had some blood in my mouth after oral sex so I am assuming I have some cuts or wounds in my mouth. He did not cum but pre-cum was there...& sorry for lack of a better word, but I went "deep", so the tip may have touched the back of my throats where there may have been cuts.

Secondly, I fingered his anus during this. Unfortunately there ended up being some feces in there and I have a torn fingernail bed and cut finger...no blood currently coming out but it was fresh enough that it is still red/pink and burnt when inside of him

Should I worry for risk? Should I seek getting PEP?

Thanks

You had no risk. Oral sex is not considered a risk by HIV experts because saliva contains proteins and enzymes which create a hostile environment for the HIV virus that renders it inactive. Furthermore, in the last 40 years since the disease has been studied, repeated studies of serodiscordant couples, in which one partner is positive and the other is negative, have shown no instances of infection where oral was the type of sexual contact being used by the couple. If in 40 years no one has ever gotten it this way with an HIV+ partner then you're not going to be the first.

There is no reason why you can't follow-up with your partner's doctor to get the necessary confirmation that you had no risk.

As an FYI, this is a volunteer site and not a 24 hour helpline. The volunteers respond when they are able to do so with their schedule. When you continually bump your thread, it appears as though there are already multiple replies to your post, which is likely why no one replied before this.
