Risk at this event

Dear Dr.,
1-) In my possible exposure,
During the relation  I was rubbing my penis on her vagina while my boxer on but I think she was at the beginning of her period thats why there was some blood in her vaginal fluid. Definitely some fluid with blood could penetrate through the boxer and could contact with penis. I also carried this boxer for about 20-30 minutes. What do u think about the risk?

2-) I had a test at 12th 24th and 46th day after my possible exposure with HIV DUO(pg24+antibody) and came back negative.
my question is that can I move on now? What do u think about the percantages?
thanks for your helps

You say nothing about your partner, but if you are in the US or other industrialized country and of she doesn't have the standard risk factors (injection drug use, commercial sex worker), you can be pretty certain she didn't have HIV.  But even if she did, you describe a virtually zero risk exposure.  Nobody ever caught HIV through clothing, blood or no blood.  If this is your only potential exposure, you didn't need testing.  But most important, it is not possible to have those test results and have HIV.

Bottom line:  You're not infected.  That's 100% certain.  Indeed you can forget about HIV and move on.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
