positive, she has a 6 motnhs old baby, and she said, if she was positive the baby would have been at the hospital and under treatment. She mentioned she took an ELISA
for 8 months. Unprotected penetration occurred but i was inside her for less than 2 minutes, and only twice. I washed up and urinate afterwards.
Later, it turns out she was a con-girl, and she had conned my money on a so called buisness transaction. I know she brings her son to the hospital for periodic treatment, but she said it was for ASD, a heart condition. However, i begin to doubt all of her stories after knowing i was cheated.
I got my first ELISA test in 1 week which came out negative, of course. But 2 days after the intercourse, I feel nauseous, and a mild fever. My neck hurts but no swollen glands or whatsoever, this went away after 4 day. After 4 weeks, I was so worried and had another ELISA which came back negative.
After 4 weeks, I began to have pain during urination and itchiness inside the shaft and milky secrecion. however, this was also after a rigorous motorcycle racing under the heat, the sweat, dehydration and pressure on the groin, i heard could cause UTI. I went for urine test, it came back negative, but the doctor gave me amphicilline, afte the dosage, i did another urine and this time it came back positive for bacterial infection, the doctor put me on co-trimoxazole, and will be tested again next week. I did some search and found out UTI is uncommon in men accept for those with immunosupressant disease such as HIV.
My 3 months ELISA is scheduled next months. I have gotten over this, until the UTI test..
Please can anyone enlightened me on what are my chances of acquiring HIV, is UTI an early symptom, and would the 3 months ELISA conclude my results. I managed to contact the girl, she said she had done a test again and it was negative, for all STD including HIV, however i just can't believe her anymore. I called her by advice from my doctor to have her tested as well.
you can actually do a test now...at 8 weeks...and be pretty confident with the results that you get. a result at 8 weeks is HIGHLY unlikely to change...but you must follow that up with a 3 month test for a conclusive result.
This is very scary, anyhow, are there any relations between UTI and HIV? My doctors scheduled me next months, he insisted its pointless to take so many tests, after my second test at 4 weeks..
And yes, i dont know, the doctor said, i can move on after the 3 months test but he insisted me to get tested for 6 months, and then 1 year to be conclusive, he said though rare, there are cases where he got a positive results after 2 years. But he also mentioned this is just precautions as many patient often hide their sexual activities and insisted they had no sex prior to the 2 years, which he himself doubt. But he insisted on the tests, can i conclude my results after the 3 months test? or should i wait for 2 years.. gosh, i am so terrified now, I have planned on settling down and having a family next year..
