If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
Thanx for your reply, but the reason I ask is because i have read that these kind of razors have been banned in many contries and states because of risks from blood bourne pathogens. and thats what got me worried espcially as it is highly likly that i got nicked, and i dont no who he used the razor on before me.
There is a ton of misinformation out there. Search the doctor's forum here.....they say the same thinig.
You CANNOT get HIV from environmental surfaces, or inanimate objects. The virus simply cannot sustain itself in the environment, making infection impossible. This is why infection occurs INSIDE the body only, as in unprotected anal or vaginal sex...or by sharing a needle.
If you choose not to believe us, that is fine...then your only option is to get a test.
There are plenty of similar discussions on this, and the doctor's forum, you just need to do a simple search. We have nothing more to add.
Thanx for your reply nursegirl. I've decided that their is no point looking into this to much as far as HIV is concerned, I have to have a test for work in a few months anyway... I hate the amount of scaremungering their is on the internet, Dont get me wrong its important to be tested if you are put at risk, but people seem so scared 24/7
