Risk of HIV Infection

My fiance left me and I have been sort of going off of the deep end (been on antidepressants and everything else). I recently (about 36 hours ago) had protected sex with a "very high risk" person. I have I guess what is an ingrown hair which has been very bad in the past (a lot of pus and blood). I attempted to remove the hair with a needle a couple of days before the experience and opened it up a bit. The lesion is on the shaft of my penis JUST below where a condom would cover. When I press on the wound it emits a bit of clear white fluid, and I can see a very faint amount of blood and or raw skin. I am concerned that her vaginal fluids might have rubbed into this lesion (it might be on a part of the penis that could have penetrated). I went to a doc and he barely examined the lesion, and seemed unsure if I should go on PEP. He finally came to the conclusion after consulting with another doc that I should not. Let's just say his explanation / conclusion was less than convincing. I still have time to get PEP. What should I do? I am very worried that I might have been in contact with HIV.

Thanks. I think I am ok with this. I understand there was little risk involved. I have noticed a LOT of people on this site and others that get themselves FREAKED out and won't accept the answers when someone tells them they are not at risk. I really don't want to be "one of those" people. I went to a doc, and posted on several forums and get the same response. I will just have to accept the fact that it is likely just leftover christian guilt or something. I appreciate what you do here. It's amazing how much disinformation you can get from the Internet, and even doctors. I suppose at the end of the day a lot of this stuff is difficult to quantify, and we still have a lot to learn.
