If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
It was brought to my attention that my gender status was incorrectly set to female. I have now corrected it. Does that change your analysis Teak? I still seem to be having protracted genital herpes symptoms that are giving me concern. I have heard HIV likes to hitch a ride with HSV2 and then can cause protracted HSV2. It's been over a month and whatever I caught is very persistant. Thanks
Please review exposure above. Update: 2 days ago, basically at 10 weeks post exposure I went in to a STD/HIV Clinic at a major hospital to try to get things figured out. After a discussion with the Doctor and a thorough look at things the Doctor said I absolutely didn't have any std. The Doctor also said that from my exposure I couldn't have HIV either, even if I did partially enter her unprotected for a moment. He told me no blood tests were necessary and to go home to my wife. I was stund but thrilled. The exhilaration didn't last for long. The very next day I started having weird (heart?) vibrations off and on in my left chest and now today it is getting more consistent with some pain in my left chest and also in my neck near my clavicle. I still haven't had any sexual relations with my wife thank goodness, and now I am wishing I had insisted on a blood test. Timing wise this probably isn't ARS but could these vibrations and chest pains be a sign of HIV 10 weeks post exposure? I would really appreciate some thoughts on this. Thanks
