Risk or Anxiety?

On April 14th I had unprotected oral (both ways) with a female CSW, we had protected vaginal sex, in which the condom was a bit snug but after inspection it didn't seem to have ripped or failed and I did the water test after.

I did get paranoid after this event, and contacted her to see if she was disease free, in which she said she was.

13 days later i have had a sore throat persisting for about a week but no fever.

When condoms fail, would it be evident?

Should I get an HIV test or is this all in my head due to anxiety and guilt since I am in a relationship?

Thank You for any and all answers

You know dude, once a person entered the HIV anxiety stage, no matter what other people or experts says about the risk or no risk, or move on whatever lines, the MIND is playing tricks.... and the more you freak out.... at the end of the day..... it is your health.... HIV anxiety is a vicious cycle that never fades..... just go get tested to put all worries behind you.. as Late Dr, Bob says if someones is worried about their HIV status, THEN TEST.... as simple as that..... it will be most likely negative anyway.....

It is abnormal to test for something you can't have.
Hey anxious no more.. do not act like your an expert dude...... HIV anxiety is something... and even experts like Dr. Hunter, Dr. Hook, and the late Dr. Bob, advised patients to test not because of the risk, but for the sake of sanity.... I know HIV anxiety, it can kill...the person is already paranoid about the incident.. no matter what you say anxiousnomore, there is no bearing, so stop acting like your the best..... for sanity sake get tested.. and not about the incident....

Yes, when condoms fail, it is abundantly evident.  Mythical "pinholes" in condoms are just that, and not a viable method for transmitting HIV.

As an adult, the only risks for HIV are:
1) having unprotected, penetrative vaginal or anal sex, or
2) sharing IV drug needles with other IV drug users.

You had no risk and do not need to test.  Whatever is causing your sore throat has nothing to do with HIV.

Thank You for your response!
On april 28th (14 days after) i went to doctor who said i may have something viral causing the enflamed throat and nasal way. No strep from the throat swab but sent over for culture

She perscribed me a prednisone pack for my throat and ive been taking amoxil to make sure i dont get an infection

Last night i had a fever for a bit and have been feeling lethargic and a bit out of sorts

Should i test with the addition of these symptoms? Would the medication affect the results?

Are the symptoms i have been having 10-14 days after my event just a coincidence, since i think there was nothing wrong with the condom that was used?

Also, it seems like the prednisone has been helping with the throat issue
Reread the advice instead of wondering if some new science developed in the last week just for your body that overrides the 40 year old HIV science.
