I’m sorry If I posted this in the wrong section, but I’m loosing my mind.

Medical History:

I’m lactose intolerant and have hypothyroidism.
I wear braces.
I was not taking an medicine
Age 25

I also had test multiple times prior to the sex last year for HSV over a 2 year span with three test for HSV2:

Negative
Postive 3.2
Negative

So I would assume I have contract HSV 2, but haven’t seen any major outbreak during the actual intercourse. *The scrapes on the scrotum are not HSV outbreaks.*

Incident:

I recently, participated in a risky behavior, I had sex with a street prostitute (Eastern European) in Italy. Prior to the sex: I was sneezing repeatedly and had a runny nose, I also had scrapes on my scrotum.

I used protection and i received oral and had vaginal intercourse with protection on at all times. The condom never broke and i had my penis through my cotton boxer briefs to avoid skin to skin contact.

I did eat gelato a few times.

After Sex (that very night):

Diarrhea
Fever
Cough
Runny Nose
Body Aches
Heat Rash (It was a heat wave in Italy)
Sneezing
Lymp nodes swolen groin, neck and armpit
These system lasted for about 3 days,

I bought some over the counter allergy and cough medicine; which did improve my health immensely. I then flew back home on a 9hr fight I was knocked out for the majority of the flight.

After retuning to the US, I took a full std test: tested negative for HIV and HSV2 and HSV1
I also purchase a at home test: tested negative.  These test (blood work) was done 8 days after exposure. they yielded negative.

I understand these test are irrelevant, considering time is needed for my immunity to develop antibodies, after reading many of the archive information.

8 day into exposure I was worried about a few problems:

I had develop a fungal infection in my belly button.
Post Nasal Drip
White Tongue
Thyroid was swollen

Used rubbing alcohol and the fungal infection on belly button has been eradicated never returned.

Eventually I was relieved to an extent, but I soon developed a sore throat some time into the 10 day of exposure. I took a rapid step which yielded negative both at urgent care and ER, both took culture pending.

At this point it’s been: 24 days after exposure.  I still have a sore throat and it’s not strep.

Symptoms 3 weeks after exposure:

Sore throat
Mouth ulcer ER indicated (Braces as culprit)
Coated White Tongue and excess mucus in Saliva
two small red dot that was short lived for two days located in random places of the roof of mouth.
Difficult Swallowing
Faint Cough
Dry Skin Itch
White spot hard like on the right flap of tonsils I was able to use my finger and scratch it off it was hard. a few hours later it returned in the same spot and had to chip it away again.

Gargle with Hydrogen Peroxide felt better, but made ears feel bothered. ER prescribed antibiotics. Was giving an antibiotic Starts with a D it made me feel fairly well in the throat region.

I haven’t had Diarrhea and Fever for 19 days. I never had Nausea and Vomiting despite the fact I was on a boat and I flew in a plane for the entire 24 days after exposure.

I took another blood test; to test HIV 22 days after exposure. Those results are negative.
Today Is 24 days after Exposure. My throat hurts and is red and still swollen.

I started to take the Antibiotics and they are working, but then the sore throat would return, I will keep taking the antibiotics.

How Long does a HIV symptom such as a sore throat last? (sore throat has been for 2 weeks and it’s not strep)

Post Nasal Dripping has been occurring for three weeks is this a sign of HIV?

Despite the proper windows period 3 - 6 months; what are my chances of being negative for HIV?
(Considering I tested: 24 days after exposure yielded negative)

I will Retest, but I'm scared. I don't know if the sex worker had HIV, but she was smoking, didn't cough her, she did have a purplish spot on her back. Her vagina had a yellow lining inside?

I'm afraid.

I've also been using rubbing alcohol excessively prior to exposure as a hand soap.

Update*

I recently had an HIV test at day 30 it tested negative, the test did test for antibodies and antigens i'm not too sure if it is the duo test.

I'm still somewhat concerned considering my tongue feel and looks somewhat strange it's white and feels somewhat hairy.

Post nasal drip hasn't stop, but definitely slowed down. I have been scrubbing my tongue hashed.

I'm so worried

I understand if you have the need to test for your peace of mind. Your test will be negative because you never had a risk, but if testing at 6 months will finally convince you of that and enable you to move on with your life, then that is what you should do.

I'm sorry our advice only briefly reassured you.

Thank You so much, You cannot comprehend how your assurance makes me feel. I'm briefly relieved, but still I wander.

lol I cannot wait until the 6 month period, I just want to be sure. I would not be able to live with myself if I infect another human knowingly or unknowingly.

So I must be cautious.

As we've told you..........you never had a risk.

Listerine can be harsh on mouth ulcers. Try some organic licorice root tea for your sore throat.

I'm sorry, she gave me oral and the condom was still on at the time.

I have been getting more mouth ulcers, but I have been using Listerine for my throat.

NO RISK for HIV and you do NOT need to test.

If oral was unprotected (sorry, I got a bit confused) you do have a risk for STD's and should post to our STD Forum.

Your symptoms are moot re: HIV
