I have known a Porn Star/Male Escort for quite some time now and he has always wanted to sleep with me but I never allowed him to.  Now that I am sexually active we both have considered this possibility but have not engaged in Protected Anal Sex because I kind of worry if it is any riskier to have sex with him than it is with a **** buddy or a one night stand.  I am not aware of his HIV/STD status, I am aware that he has done porn (he says he has not anymore since he was diagnosed with M.S.), he has also been/is a male escort, and had/has a boyfriend of 10 years.  My question is how risky is it to engage in protected anal sex with him if I am the receptive partner knowing all this?

Protected sex is protected. If you use your protection correctly and consistently, your risk does not exist regardless of the HIV status of your partner.

Remember, it is not our partner but our own behavior which puts us at the risk. Be careful, use latex with plenty of water based lubes, if you decide to go with him. This will help in minimizing the failure.

I hope you already know that unprotected receptive anal is the riskiest exposure as compared to unprotected vaginal or unprotected top. Condoms provide us total protection against HIV, provided they do not fail but if they do, the protected sex turns unprotected immediately.
