I had a one time and very brief unprotected anal penetration with a guy and don't know his STD status at all. The encounter consisted mostly of oral but I did enter him anally for a couple of minutes. There wasn't any thrusting going on and he was well lubricated. I realized soon that this wasn't a good idea because it was a risky activity and pulled out. This was my first time participating in anal activity with a man (and my last).
My question is obvious - what is the risk factor here. I am going in to test but I am sort of freaky out about it now. There seems to be a deluge of information out there and jI ust want the straight scoop. Thanks.
and other STD's tomorrow. I have never done the anal thing before and I did know better. Shame on me! I am hoping that because I wasn't inserted for very long I will be okay. I will definately not be repeating this mistake again in the future. I'll let you all know my results.
is towards the upper end of the risk scale but far less risky than receptive anal intercourse. I believe the CDC would list your exposure at around 1 in 1500 - if your partner is infected and you don't know that for sure - he likely is not.
Although I've not heard of risk assesments that include lenght of exposure or the lack of thrusting in your case, I think common sense says these factors would lessen the risk even further.
Test at 6 weeks to get a very good indicator and then again at 13 weeks - You have a very good chance of coming out of this OK.
I tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea last week and both came back negative today. I actually had 2 incidences of possible exposure I was worried about for HIV - one back in February and one on April 21st. While I was in getting my results today, they did the rapid test for HIV. It was negative. So now I know that the February incident is not a factor. I am going back in July for a second screening and that will tell the story on the most recent incident. I am going to relax and project a good outcome to all of this. Thanks for all your input and support.
