Hi,

I'm a freshman in college and am worried I may have contracted HIV from a classmate.
When I first got to school I had sex with someone (protected) and then the next person was protected,
however he took the condom off and continued (I was told after the fact). After that someone else, however the condom broke, but he quickly put a new one on. Now, I have been unprotected sex multiple times with one person (I'm on the pill and pretty sure I don't have it). I do not engage in needle sharing, etc and none of the males I have had contact with have engaged in risky behaviors. However, I am not sure if I have hiv or not and am worried. I have no symptoms and feel fine. I am also a female.

3 mos post exposure HIV test will be conclusive

if you have had unprotected sex with someone and you dont know FOR SURE their status...then you need to test.

a test at 6-8 weeks will give you a very good indication of your status...but follow up at 3 months for a conclusive result.

Ok. I plan to test as soon as I get home then. I'm just wondering what the odds are.. And I'm getting very anxious and nervous.

hiv is not a game of odds.  the only way to know one's status is by testing.
