I have had some testing done and have been positive for goneriea I have had an HIV test and await results. If you are in the US or other industrialized country, the chance your partner has HIV is probalby under 1 in 1,000, regardless of her rumored past CSW history.  If she had it, the chance of transmission was around 1 in 2,000 for UNprotected vaginal sex.  With condom-protected sex, the risk is close to zero.  And oral sex almost never transmits HIV.

The unknown in your case is your gonorrhea.  Presumably the positive test was for a urethral infection.  What kind of test was positive?  (Urine or swab?  Culture or a DNA test?)  Did you have symptoms like penile discharge of pus or pain on urination?  If you definitely had gonorrhea, then you might caught it somewhere other than from the sexual encounter described; or it might be the result of unprotected oral sex.  With a properly used condom that did not break, it is unlikely you were infected by the vaginal exposure.

The presence of gonorrhea slightly raises the stakes for HIV.  However, all things considered, it is exceedingly unlikely you caught HIV.  However, anyone with any new STD should be tested for HIV -- and for peace of mind it will be good for you to know for sure your blood test is negative.  However, 15 days is too soon; fewer than half of newly infected people have positive results by then.  You should be following the advice of a personal health care provider, preferably the clinic or doctor who diagnosed and treated your gonorrhea.  Most likely s/he will agree that you should have another HIV test around 4-6 weeks after the exposure and perhaps yet another one at 3 months.

In the meantime, don't worry too much about HIV.  It is unlikely your partner had HIV and even less likely you were infected.  Use the search link to find many other discussions about the low risk for HIV in situations like this.

Finally, if you know how to contact your partner, please inform her about your gonorrhea so she can be tested and treated.  At the same time, you can ask her about her HIV status; it should be very reassuring if she has been tested recently with a negative result.  And if you have had any other sex partners in the past 1-2 months, they also need to be informed about your gonorrhea.

I hope this helps.  Best wishes--  HHH, MD

And did you have a penile discharge or uncomfortable urination?  Or completely without symptoms?  If no symptoms, there is a slight chance the test result was false.

Given the "discomfort", most likely the test result is not false. However, it is not certain you caught your gonorrhea from your commercial partner.  Gonorrhea symptoms generally start to improve in a couple of days and are gone within 5-7 days.  You need to avoid sex until a week after both you and your partner have been treated.  And in addition to the ceftriaxone injection for gonorrhea, you need treatment for chlamydia, because up to 40% of men with gonorrhea catch chlamydia at the same time (even if your chlamydia test is negative).
