...no climax for him, We fell asleep, we woke up two hours later, same condom still on him and had sex for a minute if that. I truly was not concerned, since oral is not much of a risk. Sooo, fast forward till now, I have had two yeast infection in a month, hard to treat. No antibiotics, I am not pregnant, I am not diabetic. So some friend of mine said it has to be hiv. My feeling was I was not at risk and don;t yeast infections that happen with hiv happen far later into the progression of the disease than 4 months? Thanks in advance for any insight. K
Condom protected intercourse and oral carry no risk of HIV infection.
I'm not sure where your friend got the idea that two yeast infections = HIV. That's just not the case. Even if your symptoms WERE indicative of HIV infection (which they ARE NOT), you can not use symptoms to diagnose HIV infection. The only way to find out your status is by testing.
The situations you describe do not warrant testing.
I don't have much to add to "unwiseacts" response other than to say that we often observe an increase in Yeast Infections in perfectly healthy pregnant women.
Teak has to be the "enforcer". The man has extensive HIV/AIDS knowledge and beyond. I'll defer to him anytime. Where I get suckered into the delusion that I'm actually educating someone, he recognizes a troll when he sees one. Teak, Thank you for all your contributions and setting me straight more than once. Yes, I do have a formal medical education of all of less than 3 years now beyond my Undergrad work. That man has been places in this field, I couldn't perceive of. He's set me straight more than once.
