Scared for wife after mutual masturbation & sextoy

Scared for wife after mutual masturbation & sextoy

I masturbated with a male of unknown status. He ejaculated on me and I had his semen on my hands. Carelessly and WITHOUT washing my hands, I removed a DVD from the DVD player and then tossed it in a drawer which contains my wifes sex toy (dildo), The DVD and the sex toy touched each other.

Assuming the guy was HIV+ and his semen made its way to the dildo via my hands  to the DVD & dildo, any risk for my wife if she used the sex toy shortly thereafter (within about 12 hrs?)

1. Any risk for my wife?

2. Should she be tested?

3. Has a case like this transmitted HIV?

Thank you

Welcome back to the forum.  But based on both this question and the ones covered in a thread with Dr. Hook yesterday, it is apparent that you do not understand the basics of HIV transmission and did not understand, or did not believe, the advice he gave.  Just as with the toilet splash, you now ask about another zero risk event.  Please understand this: for HIV to be sexually transmitted requires a bare (no condom) penis to enter another person's vagina, rectum or (rarely) mouth.  Period.  Hand-genital contact, sexual secretions on skin, or indirect contact with a dildo as described here do not transmit the virus.  Here is a link to a thread that explains the biology behind this fact (read the entire thread; the key information comes in follow-up comments):    http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/1119533

1) No risk for either you or your wife.

2) Neither you nor your wife need HIV testing on account of these events.

3) There has never been a report of HIV being transmitted from these sorts of exposures, and undoubtely there never will be.

Please study, learn, and believe the facts about HIV transmission so you will not have to keep seeking reassurance after exposures with little or no risk.  Also, please note the MedHelp rule about a maximum of 2 questions every 6 months on the professionally moderated forums.  No more on this forum before next October.

To clarify, my wife used the sex toy between 2-6 hrs after this incident. The sextoy is usually wrapped in a towel as well

Still no risk.  End of discussion.

Thanks for answering so fast. Any change in risk if my wife used her sex toy (insertive) during her period?

Any risk at all if the dildo contained dried semen that was HIV+?

I promise this will be last follow up. I am seeking counselling now...

No risk.  Don't over-think it.  HIV is not transmitted by dildos or other objects, especially when more than a few minutes pass from contamination to ue.  If you had read the thread whose link I posted, you would understand.

Thanks. I read the post and I am at ease. Based on the information there: Even IF there was blood on the dildo and my wife used it during her period after an hour or two, there would be no risk. Please let me know if this is correct or not?

To clarify my last post: Even IF there was HIV + blood on the dildo and my wife used it during her period after an hour or two, there would be no risk. Please let me know if this is correct or not?

No!!!

There is NO plausible scenario you can think of that would turn this into a risk. This thread is over. Any more such nonsense and the entire thread will be immediately deleted without reply.   Get over it.
