tear they say. I had checked both the condoms after use by filling them with water.. found both condoms were intact..i.e NO LEAK. I am unable to rest assured that there indeed was NO LEAK hence no HIV got through.
2. My wife is supposed to return back next week. She is already talking of sex. What should I do? I am not 100% sure that I dont have it? Even CDC mentions that condoms are safe but not 100%. Its only been 5 days since my last encounter and I havent even tested myself.
I do not want to put my wife and family at risk.
What should I do?
Dobbler:- I think even you tested at 7 months coz of your family,s safety...am i right? What do you feel...I should do?
Friends please ...what should I do? I do not want to put my wife and family at risk.
Hi there,
I understand your anxiety.
Yes I tested out to 7 months, even though I really should have stopped at 3.
But the difference between you and me is that I had unprotected sex. Twice.
Your condom didn't break. Therefore you weren't at risk for HIV. You can be 100% sure of that. I understand your anxiety, but my dear boy you didn't have a risk!:)
i have been to a doctor today and he told me that my results are pretty clear, since they recommend testing after 3-4 weeks.
that was really encouraging to me, since my test result was after 11 weeks.
he asked me not to get any more testing done, since i am clear (even after the condom break exposure).
he recommended me to take a tablet to get out of the HIVPhobea.
i think most of us have this.
take my case, i dont have any symptoms in book so far.
no fever, lymph node, groin pain or anything.
i am completely fit.
since i am not sure about the date of exposure and not sure about the status of the lady, i am counting this 11 weeks as the worst case exposure.
the doctor told me, that there are no ways to get the result other than testing. and the symptoms comes up only after 5 years or so.
i think, we need to make a call, when to test.
and after testing, just need to take this out of mind. and move on with life.
if in my case, i had a low risk exposure with odds of 1 in 2000 with a lady of unknown status.
i tested negative at 9th and 11th week (worst case scenario).
now i am thinking, that i was the one of the lucky in 1999, and god gave me another chance.
if i keep on thinking, how long shall i keep on testing.
3 months, 4 ,5 ,6 or 1 year.
how long...
we need to make a call
from what was read, for a person with normal immune system, can take that call in any time from 8-13 weeks. depending on your will power.
dude, you relax man. get tested before your wife reaches and then move on with life.
but no more fooling around.
