. I also assume that I was not producing as much saliva as usual. Anyhow, I was fooling around with this dude, and very briefly put his **** in my mouth with out a condom. I would say at a maximum this was for ten seconds, although it very likely could have been much less. According to him, it was a split second. At some point, I had noticed some pre-*** on the tip of his ****. I can not say for sure whether this was before or after I put it in my mouth. It is fair to say that in a worst case scenario, his **** was in my mouth with a small amount of pre-*** for 7-10 seconds. He had told me he gets tested regularly and is negative. however, when we were done, I went to the bathroom and noticed a bottle of Atripla with his name on it. this was the point where I freaked out. he gave some cockamamie explanation. i was hoping he would say he kept it just in case for PEP, but he didn't. It is safe to assume he is positive, although he still won't admit it, so I can not discern his viral load or whether he has anything else. anyhow, on monday morning, 31 hours post exposure, I started on a pep regimen, which i have adhered to completely, and will finish regardless of the side effects.
I am worried about my chances of having contracted HIV.
On Wednesday, I noticed one painful enlarged lymph node under my left jawbone. I was not searching for it, but turned and felt a pain.
I have had diarrhea since just after I started on PEP everytime I eat, and I attribute that to the meds.
I am bugging out, and am not sure how I am going to make it through the month, no less three of them.
Can anyone assess my chances and/or give me advice?
Worse, i had just been tested mast week, and was so happy to be clean. i am wracked with guilt. i keep thinking how irresponsible it was to put a penis in my mouth that it turns out is HIV+, even for a brief time.
One more thing. I think if i read a post like this from someone else, I would tell them that they are alomst surely ok, and to stay cool and take a 3 month test which will almost surely be negative, but it is a lot harder to be rational when it is me going through it!
what about the studies that say 8% of new cases are caused by receptive oral
and
what about the cocaine? Blood in mucous?
and
since it seems that the guy was infected (or just collected atripla bottles made out to him), isn't there a 60% chance that his pre-***, which got in my mouth, albeit briefly, contained HIV?
The studies that found 8% where then reviewed by their authors, because they though participants involved in other acts/events that they did not report, and they where small (very smaller than the study I referenced, and in this study I'm telling you they where serodiscordant confirmed!!!)
Ok, suppose he is infected.
60% probability of precum (very low quantity of HIV), with a risk perhaps of 4/10.000 or less for oral sex with ejaculation, so with precum may be 1/20.000, but with your mouth may be 1/10.000*.6 = 6/100.000
