If you were really at risk, and had ARS, your symptoms would not be just a few days. I think, acc. to sources, they would last between 10 to 14 days and your fever would have to be above 100.5F.
Trust Lizzie and Joggen and RobTom- They know their stuff.
seek professional mental help if you cannot deal with your health concerns...it's not hiv related.
kindly move on...you do not have a hiv concern
'-vaginal sex with a known hiv person is transmitted 1/2000 exposures. oral is 1/10000 '
although this is what i found in some other discussion. and so with the unknown partner i believe my chances of having it equal about 1 in 10 mln. So maybe I am 1 in 10 mln.. So on a more positive note: I always thought I'm special :)
anyway, as I said thanks a lot and peace of mind for everyone who is panicing like myself.
but how can this be? Im so sorry to bother you, but I realised that no one on earth will convince me i don't have HIV.
Constant fever, nightsweats, joint/muscle pain, headache, sore throat for a week.
Ill get tested. But its along wait untill 3 months and all the other tests seem to be rather pointless and will get on my nerves even more.
Anyway, thanks!
you were never at risk and your "symptoms" are not hiv related.
no, im so sorry for all this confusion. i think i dont have white spots though. dont know if that makes a diff. im just going insane.
and i know u dont usually comment on symptoms in this forum.
but i just dont understand what is it for me and is there any chance these nonsensical symptoms are not hiv?
and i have just noticed that in my red sore throat i have loads of small white spot things..they're really small but they are there as my mum can see them as well.
what else could this be if not hiv?
taking into account I have fever for the 6th day, joint/bone ache (although fever is very low and it cant be from that), headaches, had diarrhea a few times.
and how did i manage to catch it if oral and kissing are no-risk situations?!
well i performed oeal on a man more than 4 weeks ago and I am convinced I have HIV. I have basicly all symptoms inclusing fever that is lasting just under a week now.
What about kissing? I know that its safe if there are no cuts in the mouth. But how can u know where were none?I could have had slightly sore lips as this is often the case for me due to some alergy.I kissed two ppl the same night and so maybe I got infected that way?
Also what about wetness of vagina? Is it safe to perform oral on a woman if she is infected? Im just trying to figure out how will my and my partners sexual life change after I've been infected..
many thanks!
1. Zero.
2. Zero.
3. Zero.
No risk regardless of what 'situation' you want to come up with.
There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD
"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Please educate yourself about the real risks. If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. " DR HANSFIELD
"I am sure you can find lots of people who belive that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..." DR HOOK
"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK
in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA
The observation on thousand and thousand of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort). DR. HOOK
A hypothetical question:
What would the risk be if 1) she had just brushed her teeth before performing oral, or had eaten a bag of chips (leaving her mouth slightly abrazed on the roof of her mouth and gums, but not bleeding), and 2) IF her partner was HIV+ and had ejaculated in her mouth? or 3) was HIV+ but there was only preseminal fluid?
I'm trying to learn a bit more about different situations, so I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks
NO RISK for HIV.
Think about this - There have only been a FEW reported cases in the years of HIV/AIDS and the cases were not even convincing. so with that said think about this.
Just on this site alone there are so many people worried about getting HIV from oral sex, just think how many total people worry about this as a risk and test everyday. So what I am saying is with all of the scared people in the WORLD don't you think there would be more than a few reported if this really posed a risk? YES
With that said as you can see it is NO RISK
