Semen on skin - Please help

by aaron11, Apr 08, 2008 10:20PM
I had a boyfriend four or five years back when I was young and foolish, who I dated for three years. We never had sex, but semen often got on my skin (though not in cuts). Is there a risk with simple exposure to possibly infected semen or does it have to be in a cut?

I know the risk is low but nothing comes close to the fear that I feel when thinking I might have HIV. Would repeated exposure to possibly infected semen and/or blowjobs given semi-regularly put me at a real risk for HIV infection?

No risk from this, even if you had cuts on your skin, unless they were gashing huge open wounds, you would not be at risk.

Giving oral sex is considered very low risk. There are some documented cases where it appears the person was infected only by oral sex, but despite that, it's still very low risk (odds of being infected are conservatively estimated at around 1 in 10 000).
