Semen

Hi. I posted a question the other day regarding a handjob.
I now understand there can be no transmission even if there
are small cuts & scrapes on the hand because the virus dies outside the host.
My question was geared towards touching the hankie that cleaned
up the lotion & semen with a cut or scrape, again told no risk.
I've been reading through other people's postings
& have learned that you bleed out not in. So even if there was a bleeding
cut on the hand during a handjob you would basically have to
rub the semen into it for there to be a risk. Is that true? Not that
someone would do that, but I am curious. And if I was to use my
original scenario, wiping blood from a cut w/a hankie filled w/lotion
& seamen would not be wise but it wouldn't spread HIV?
Reading all this information on the site makes my
head spin but I want to educate myself as I become more sexually active in college.
Thank you again for your time & patience while I ask
what may be silly questions

Hi - believe it or not, this wasn't about me, I'm ok thanks to you. I just realized the other night I needed to become better educated about STDs & HIV. I've been reading, & trying to make sense of it. The only example I have to to use was my own & of course other people's that may pertain to me. Some won't, as in using sex workers.

Again I do thank you!

HIV doesn't die,it is either active or inactive and from the situation you have described the virus would have become inactive and therefore unable to infect you.It can't survive outside of the body on fomites like towels or tissues, etc. You never had an HIV concern.I would forget about this incident because you have posted this before and were given correct advice as to why you had no risk.
