If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
Does anyone has any idea about the sensibility and specificity of 4th generation HIV tests (=detection of antigenCea Histocompatibility antigen test Hla-b27 antigen Psa and antibody together)? apparently these tests shorten the window period ; so the question is: with what certitude can one say that you are positif or negatif after 2 weeks - 4 weeks - 6 weeks ? If the window period is smaller, does that mean that a controlControl Control rx after 3 months is no longer needed ?
No test is approved for a conclusive negative before 3 months. True tests are more sensitive and the Dr's on this site have not see anyone turn positive after 8 weeks in several years, but the standard is still 3 months for a conclusive negative,
