Sex with prostitutes

Hello Dr,

I will keep my story short. When I was in London (UK), I had sex with many prostitutes (about 15). Last one was about a week back. They did oral sex with condom on me and I did insertive vaginal sex with condom on them. I believe condoms never split open, but never really checked. I never did oral sex or french kissing on them.

All along, I was under the impression that as long as there is no exchange of bodily fluids, then there is no risk of STD. But, now I realise that some STDs can transmit by skin contact also. I have definitely avoided bodily fluids, but I am not sure if the condoms split open. The risky skin contact is ( I suppose) the base of my penis touching the vigina.

I dont have any symptoms whatsoever. Apart from the moral guilt for my actions which I regret, is there any clinical need to get tested for STD without experiencing any symptoms. As with others on this forum, I am more worried about viral infections which apparently has no cure.

I have a girlfriend and am now afraid to have sex with her. I have been consciously avoiding it since I returned from the UK and it is getting to a point where she is becoming suspicious of my abstinence. Pl help.

Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.
