Shingles

guys - does anyon know if shingles is a sign of HIV?

I had the antigen and antibody test after 25 days from exposure and they were negative....

I'm glad you know what that word means because that is what you've been from the first post. Shingles is not a primary indication of HIV infection. Go post this BS over on the Drs. forum and see what they tell you.

As Teak said, if you have had chickenpox, you can have shingles years later, for absolutely no reason at all.

thanks Teak - i was diagnosed with shingles yesterday but have had a p24 test along with the antibody test at 25 days so im assuming im ok

No shingles is not a sign of HIV. Anyone that has had chicken poxs can get shingles.
