Shinles followed by cold sores on lower lips, HIV symptom?

I had shingles about a month ago which went away after taking anti-viral medication. I am going through a lot of stress at work. A few days I got itchy cold sores on my lower lip. I saw my Dr. today and asked about the underlying condition that causes shingles and cold sores. She said "May be you are going through a rough patch. But we can do a test to check if its actually herpes and also for HIV enchanted she says is unlikely. I am waiting for my results but wondering if I am infected with HIV. I have enouters with sex workers but always with condoms. The condom broke one time and I pulled out immediately. Sorry for the long question.
Thanks

Hello, your only possible risk would be the time when your condom broke, even in that case your chances would be around 1 in 2000 to get HIV, only if your partner was HIV+.

If that condom breakage happened 12 or more weeks ago the results you'll receive will be conclusive. If you're taking the test before the 12 weeks mark a 3rd gen Elisa will give you an excellent indicator about your status around 6 - 8 weeks after exposure and 4th gen 4 - 6 weeks after exposure.

You're doing the right thing be getting testing.

Hope this helps.
