Should I be concerned?

by PuppyDog1127, Jul 05, 2009 10:22PM
Hi, thanks for taking a minute to give me some advice.  I am a gay male and had a gernally safe encounter with another HIV+ gay male a few days ago.  By safe, I mean we kissed and had mutual masturbation, which I know are both safe/low risk.

My concern is that at one point during our play, my buddy put his fingers inside my rectum.  Given our position and the circumstances, I could not see if he had any of his semen on his fingers.  I have read that "pre-***" isn't a big risk.  However, I can't find much about semen on fingers.  Again, it was fingers only, and not his penis.  I checked afterward and I wasn't bleeding and I didn't find anything that looked like it could have been semen around my rectum, but I don't want to rely on that solely.

As you've noted, one can obcess over these things and I would really rather put this behind me.  I plan to get a 3 month checkup anyway but any words of wisdom you have as to the risk of this situation would be helpful.

Thanks

no risk.  you can't get hiv that way.  hiv can't live outside the body.

no one has ever been infected from fingering...semen or not.   you were not at risk from what you have described.
