Should I need to worry about this situation (HIV expossure)

Hi, 26 months ago, I had protected sex three times with a sex worker in one night. I used manforce condoms which are the top most quality brands in India. I did no kiss, no vagina sucking and no oral sex. I did not have any serious health issue till today. but sometimes in last 2 years I had common cold for 3-6 days maximum 4 to 5 times. Once I had also viral fever for 5 days but I did not notice anything special. Last year I took 8 months acne treatment because I had been having acne for 4 years. During the acne treatment I had Jock Itch in my inner thighs that had gone away in 2 months. I never had an anxiety for this. But now a days I've been taking antibiotics for my typhoid for 1 month. For 2-3 days I'm feeling the jock itch in my thighs. I've read on the internet that people with hiv/aids have fungus infection and cause jock itch or something like that. My concerns are the following.

1. Should I need to worry about HIV, if I had protected sex 26 month ago and never felt any serious or horrible health issue.
2. Can a person need to take any treatment for any serious issue in 2 years of period after hiv infection.
3. Could long use of antibiotics cause fungus infection in thighs.

I'm a lot of worried about this. How to clear my concerns.

Hi teak, I took elisa 4th generation test yesterday and got negative.

As I had two low risk exposures.
1. 2.3 years ago
2. 3.5 months ago

Is this result is conclusive for both exposures??

Hi diver58, the whole purpose of posting this discussion was to get the reassurance for my typhoid. Acutally 2 month ago i got a small typhoid and it cured with 8 days antibiotics. I never had typhoid before this. Now last month i got again typhoid greater than previous. I had a quick thought in my mind regarding to my 2..2 years old protected sex that i might have got hiv due to that intercourse because the any condom might got broken that time. Due to which my immune system got weakend and i got typhoid again. That is my concern. I m a hypocondriac also.

Condom failure has nothing to do with vaginal conditions,, You were told that it is the correct or incorrect use that matters. Your question is not related to HIV transmission, for further queries related to condoms, you can contact the relevant manufacturer

You never had an exposure so you will not have an ARS concern.

You mean to say that if a condom breakes, my penis head will be fully exposed to outside. There can not be a microhole or cut during the intercourse. Am I right??

Every condom can break, irrespective of its brand. It is the correct or incorrect usage of condom that matters. You protect yourself if you use condoms correctly and consistently.

However, condom failure is too obvious to ignore, you will know it the moment it fails because the failure is not a crack or a pinhole, but it tear apart from the top, exposing the head of your penis

Well, to be honest, sometime people do not know about their infection for years because they remain symptomatic. However symptoms or no symptoms, that does not matter, what really matters, is the exposure. And that exposure is non existing in your case.

Hi diver58, thanks for your kind help. I meant to say that If I had hiv then would I have known in those 2 years?? would I have any minor or major indicator or is it just an anxiety?

You had protected sex and your protection did not fail during the intercourse (had it failed, you would have known it), you are fine and need not to worry about HIV.

1. No you should not worry
2. Yes if a person is diagnosed with HIV, he may need to start his medication based on his viral load/CD4 count, strictly under medical supervision. However this is not the situation in your case, You do not have HIV
3.I am not aware of such side effects of antibiotics, however you can consult your physician about it.

Though you do not need a test in first place, however you may get yourself tested anytime now and collect your conclusive report, ONLY to get peace of mind, if nothing else works to eliminate your anxiety
