Should i worry after Oral encounter with a woman

I had a Oral encounter with a women on March 2014. I performed oral-veginal on her for about 5 min, and other than that we dint have any other sexual contact. Now since couple of weeks i started to have some symptoms like sore throat, mild dry cough, and sleeplessness (I am hardly sleeping).Should i be worried, are these symptoms of HIV. Thank in advance

low to no risk,,, some studies say low risk how ever due to correlation between sex n oral sex ..this still a myth to me for hiv...

Oral sex is not a risk for HIV.

Ricky, I did the same thing as you. Many sites and forum states that there is only a theoretical risk, but I agree with you that there is contradictory information. I understand that there are a very few documented cases of transmission through cunnilingus, but if this route of infection were common, 30 years of epidemic history should show more evidence that this happen. Look for example the case of lesbians, which is not considered a risk group regarding a hiv epidemic, so different to the case of MSM. The main difference between both groups are of course the sexual practices.

Among the experts the general consensus is that the risk is much lower than unprotected vaginal sex. I am also very worried.

Thanks for the reply. when i search net there are many conflicting opinions on this. i have bad gums so i am bit more worried about the risk of exposure. Are there any documented cases of HIV through oral-vaginal.
