Single exposure HIV risk-unprotected sex

(male, 24yrs old, Los Angeles AREA, CA) Wanted to know what the risk was from a single exposure of unprotected s*x.
I had s*x with this girl before, and took a hiv test after and was Negative...
Had s*x with her again about 6 months after, but she said she had sex with her ex boyfriend once in between.
she said he was clean, and she said she tested after they had sex, and was clean also..

want to hear what people have to say about this.
thank you all very much.
I think about this all the time. It's not even been a week since the incident, but am worried.

Thank you, Teak. I appreciate your insights. I didn't mean to come off harmful, I'm going to delete this thread now. I apologize.

"I had unprotected sex" and you have to ask if you have had a risk? Gives us a break. You also know how to prevent contracting HIV. Now if you think that is being sarcastic that's tough..Sarcastic is nothing compared to living with HIV.  You can test 3 months post your last unprotected sex to obtain a conclusive test rest. Start using condoms. Sex lasts only minutes and HIV lasts a lifetime.

YOu had put yourself at risk from the unprotected vaginal sex. you need to take the test. 6-8 weeks is to know your status and 3 months is the conclusive result.
