Sore Throat

Good morning everyone.

I was hoping you could help put me at ease with some symptoms I had and now my wife is having.

I origianlly had some sytoms of ARS 3 days after my encounter and then about 3 weeks later had a sore throat and stuffy nose.

Now my wife, 4 days after sex out of nowhere got sick and vomited. She felt OK after the next day. But now 1 week later she started to get a sore throat and a stuffy nose.

1) I know that 3-4 days seems too early for the start of ARS symptoms, but is it possible?

2) Would ARS symptoms stop for a week (or in my case a few weeks) and then a sore throat start?

3) Does a sore throat related to ARS usually have a stuffy nose associated with it? I beleive DR H has said a stuffy nose is not typical of ARS. Any thoughts. Would the stuffy nose associated with the sore throat be a good sign that it is not HIV related?
