Sore spot on tongue

I told you my story and do not mean to be a pain but I have a question, for 3 plus weeks I have a canker sore on the side middle of tongue and a few little red dots, and once every couple of days a metalic taste, you said I was not at risk and tested Negative at 8 weeks, I do have Herpies (herpes) Simplex, could that be it that or am i a the few percent that infection shows up late, I would really appriciate Teak and Lizzy's thoughts on this, thanks
