Does HCV delays HIV or the other way round? If one test for HIV and HCV at 3 months and its negative, are they in the clear already?

yes to all. you can find it on wikipedia, and yes, if you test negative to those at 12 months, you are clear. Also, there are rare cases of catching HCV trough sex. Not impossible, but rare.

Are these findings the same with those published in Wikipedia's website? Are these all there really is? So if a person still test negative at 12 months, he or she has no worries about HIV or HCV?

It was a health care person, coinfected with HCV. Second case was a person in late stage of HCV infection, having immunodeficiency over HCV and no power to create antibodies.

hi chris,
What was the case for this 11 months which you have come accross? When you said many years ago, exactly how long? I am just curios to know what caused it to seroconvert so late?
Anybody else have any other 'findings' to share? Please make sure the case is from a valid or reliable source.

These are scare tactics...don't do this to yourself as i've done it to myself. It will not do anything good for you to explore every worse case scenario regarding your situation Fabin...do the basics-test @ 3 months and then go from there. God luck and good health to you, stay safe...
