What was the result at the end? Just curious! I bet negative!
Was the result of the western blot positive?? Please answer

Why does Dr. HHH identify that there was a low risk from the events. However, you always say absolutely NO RISK.
AHHHHH! Good catch Teak!
He's absolutely right!
Well, that puts this one to bed for me. Hope you can get some help for your anxiety issue.
You did not buy or take an HIV test like you described in the US. The only home test kit is Oraquick and it is an oral test and doesn't use blood.
I stand by my assessment for you. For one, you didn't even SEE the needle when you got poked by something on the floor. You're surmising that you stepped on the needle. To add, a pin sized opening just would NOT be a sufficient portal of entry to cause infection.
Feel free to post in the expert forum, maybe that will shed some light on this situation for you:

There isn't much more we can add. You'll have a better idea what's going on after your test.
Someone please pray for me. Headed to the lab now to get blood drawn.
If I test positive via western blot it would have to have been from the poke or the kissing. Like I said I had open sore near front teeth and it was bleeding during kissing. The lock of the lips would have presented a closed environment. Might have only needed a little blood from her especially if she had a high viral load.
Teak, just curious, I have read a lot of your post and I thank you for the work that you do. However, you always seem so quick to rule out hiv in a lot of situations. Hiv doesn't just die the second it's outside of the body. There has to be some time period before it dies.
What's my excuse if I test positive via western blot. I didn't have sex, I didn't do drugs. There can't just be two ways and two ways only to get hiv. There gotta be many other situations where people have contracted it.
Teak makes a very good point. Where do you live?
You'll need to follow up with a doctor or clinic to have an antibody test done, and then a confirmative test if necessary.
The only place that home tests are approved is in the US. The UK doesn't start selling them until April. You never even had an exposure.
I don't know what to expect now since the results of the at home test kit.
You have been advised to test just so you can move on from this as nursegirl said.
"It's been 6 months, so an HIV test would be more than conclusive at this time. Just go take one so you can finally put this behind you."
I don't understand why they say "no risk" when I've been advised to test.
You need to get an antibody from a Dr 1st.
Made appointment with the dr. For western blot. How certain am I that I'm already positive?
Go to a Dr and get tested.
Both trays showed reactive.
The kit had me prick my finger with a poker similar to the one diabetics use. All I did was place a drop of blood in the trays. Kit came with two trays and I did both at the same time. Is it possible to do these wrong. It seemed basic. I hope these things are inaccurate.
Go to a Dr and get tested. Based on every post you have made doubt you even did it right.
How accurate are these at home test kits?
