Still Scared

Still Scared

Thank you for your responses to the previous threads, they have helped me calm myself but I am still somewhat nervous.
I had protected sex although I did not ejaculate with a woman who was a high end, part time escort (had another job). I then received unprotected oral.

Ten days after the encounter I started to have a low grade fever, sore throat, inflamed sinuses, dizzyness, fatigue, cough with green phlegm.
On day 20 I had a panel of STD tests including an anti-body HIV test. All negative.
Upon realizing/reading that 20 days was not conclusive I went back at day 24 for an HIV PCR test.
Today is day 26, I am still awaiting my PCR test results.

My problem is that I am still suffering from fatigue, headaches, sore throat.

Will the PCR test be conclusive? Do I have anything to worry about?

Thank you

I know based on the fact package I gave, that your comment was that there never was an exposure. I wonder if the condom broke as I am still not feeling well.

So my question is given any type of exposure would the fact that at 20 days having an HIV antibody test, and then at 23 days having a PCR test both negative, would that absolutely rule out HIV?

You know if a condom breaks.

For a real risk an antibody test at 3 months is conclusive.

See a Dr if your not feeling well.

As you can probably imagine given that I am still not feeling welI, I worry if I really did have an exposure.

Therefore even with the negative PCR test, are you saying that I am still possibly at risk for HIV?

I thought based on these forums that the PCR test would be definitive? Should I be tested again?

Thank you!

condom failure is CATASTROPHIC ! ! !   you would know...WITHOUT A DOUBT...if your condom had failed.

hiv is not transmitted through oral sex...period.

you had NO risk.
