Still lingering around...

Still lingering around...

The foot pain that i have been experiencing is still lingering around. It is on the top of both feet for the most part, sometimes on the side or underneath.  My doc tried to tell me it was unrelated to HIV -- and i did test negative at six weeks, two days after one-time unprotected sex with a female for about :15-:20. It's just tough to convince myself that it's not related - ive never had foot issues in the past, and didn't do anything that would have caused any injury of the feet.

Some say that it could be anxiety, but unsure of anxiety can cause actual pain -- sometimes the pain is pretty bad, and at other times, it's just a dull pain -- and it seems ironic that it is in/on both feet.

White stuff on the back part of my tongue is still there too.

Looking for some thoughts:
Does anyone see this to be a concern?
Can anxiety create actual "pain"?
I've heard of neuropathy - hoping it's not that?

I just want to get on with my life, and back to my wife.

I think you suffer from an anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorders  can cause such distress that it interferes with a person's ability to lead a normal life. Symptoms vary depending on the type of anxiety disorder, but general symptoms include:

Feelings of panic, fear and uneasiness
Uncontrollable, obsessive thoughts
Repeated thoughts or flashbacks of traumatic experiences
Nightmares
Ritualistic behaviors, such as repeated hand washing
Problems sleeping
Cold or sweaty hands
Shortness of breath
Palpitations
An inability to be still and calm
Dry mouth
Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
Nausea
Muscle tension.

Why doesn't the doctor prescribe you a benzo and/or an ssri?  Has he offered?  I suggest you try it for at least 8 weeks and then see how you feel after that.  I think your foot pain will ease.

I understand what you're saying.  However, this isn't tingling in the feet -- it is more of a pain -- that's why I thought it may be related to what i'm worried about.....

I know I tested negative at six weeks, i just hope that it is conclusive enough..

I was given some xanax, but haven't been taking it that much.

There are tons more things that cause foot pain, all very common.

If you tested negative at 6 weeks, you don't have HIV.  Period.  Go to a foot doctor or back to your primary care doc.

You are not HIV positive!

Pain in your foot is not even a symptom of ARS or seroconversion!

Your 6 week test is conclusive!  YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV!!!!!!

Thank your lucky stars and dont involve yourself in risky behaviour again!
