Strange one

This is odd and I think I know the answer but here goes. If someone that is hiv positive poked himself with a cork screw and handed it to me and I poked myself is there any risk of transmission? Know this is odd but after removing a cork I poked myself so I am going with worst case scenario

Thank you

Even if the poke drew blood?

Your words, "Thinking now if I get three saying everything is fine I would move on". So a 3rd leads to a 4th and then asking for a 5th. You had no risk and a poke is not a risk.

I don't understand your response. I was not given any info just told "no risk" then given conflicting info and was asking for an explanation. I don't want to spam here I just wanted a bit more detailed answer considering the conflicting info

Ok, I am sorry to beat a dead horse here. I had my two answers to my issue and asked the ct dept of health HIV advisor. Thinking now if I get three saying everything is fine I would move on. She told me if any bodily fluid was shared if the fluid was only on the cork screw for seconds it is infectious and I should be tested after a few weeks. This wad not what I expected and now has me freaked out. Can you please let me know why this would be wrong and I have no risk? I am sorry I am being a pain here but when info is not consist it gets scary

My arm is sore and I have been tired since the event. Just to confirm this was a no risk situation and this is all in my head right? There is no time frame involved once blood leaves the body is ceases to be infectious right?

I thought not but my mind just plays the what if game. i actually think prick was after i opened it and was trying to get the cork off the screw but as i had had a few it was," oh i pricked myself" after i already sat down and was not sure exactly when so i just typed a worst case
