, kinda faint ringing in the left and it pulsates like a heart beat when I sleep.
P.S: I have been to the doctors about these symptoms and had an EEG and MRI scan of my head and they said that it appears normal. I recently got my blood drawn for an HIV test but the doctor went on vacation for the rest of the week which will delay me hearing about my results. Ive also seen an ear, nose, throat doctor and he has not mention any swelling in the throat but said that its red. The ERT doctor has ruled out strep throat and swab my throat for more testing ( I am currently waiting for the results).
P.S: One of the things I am worried about the most is that if I test out positive for HIV that my brother might catch it. I have shared a drink with him when I had chapped lips but I am not sure if it was bleeding at the time. I have done a lot of research and know that it cannot be transferred through saliva but isn't chapped lips an open wound? So can he catch it by sharing a drink with me when I have chapped lips? ( I am not sure if it was bleeding at the time)
Please help me figure this out!!! I am also sorry if this is too long but this is all the information I think is necessary.
Also to be honest the last time I had sex was about two or three years ago. I was also wondering if I can get HIV from using an earing to pierce my ear from an infected person? I have soaked the earing in Peroxide and alcohol for two or three days plus rinsing in water to clean it before piercing. I do not know if the previous person that owned the earing was infected or not either. I am just extremely worried.
You can only get hiv from the following: vaginal/anal sex, sharing needles, blood transfusions, and mother-to-child. There is no risk from anything other than that, so the activities you mentioned, other than the sex two or three years ago, if it was unprotected sex, is not a risk. You are also out of the ars phase. Also, you took the test, so you will get your results soon enough, hopefully. I hope that helps...
Doesn't piercing my ear with an earing kinda count as sharing a needle? Also when I mention me sharing a drink with my brother with a possibility of blood in the drink count as blood transfusion? I forgot to mention that it was also unprotected sex. So basically you are saying that I have no chance of having HIV since I had sex two or three years ago and the symptoms now starting to occur? I wanted to edit my question but could not find a way because I wanted to add that Ive been having the headaches and nausea since mid November of last year. Do suggest any other test I should take? I read other post and was suggested of asking to get a CMV and EBV test done because the symptoms are kinda similar. Once again I am sorry if this is long I am just worried.
Yea thanks I read your post (hamsam) and went to get an EBV and CMV test done today. I also got my results back for the HIV test and showed up negative. I was also wondering (Teak) if I should wait another six weeks to get another HIV test done to clear the window or would there be no point. Remember my last sexual encounter was unprotected and about two or three years ago.
Thanks I will be sure to let you know about the EBV and CMV results when I get it. Hopefully the doctors and I figure out what is triggering these symptoms before anything severe happens.
