Sub-Saharan Africa proetected sex? At risk?

Hi.

I had protected sex with a Black South African several months ago.   Was careful during intercourse to make condom was on properly.  I know he's had multiple partners, but said he practices safe sex.   He masturbated once on my stomach and cleaned it up immediately after.

I have been sick several times since - now sick with malaise, swollen throat glands and body aches.   This is the second time since returning that I've been ill.    Didn't think the behavior was risky until I started getting sick.

Should I get tested?  What is my risk?

No test need for this incident, if it was protected intercourse.

I recommend all sexual active person to have STI test, including HIV, yearly.
