Surface Risk for HIV
I went in to an HIV clinic for a routine test after a blood transfusion. My hands are cut up because I wash them frequently. Would touching the countertops and door handles be a risk? I'm not 100% sure I wasn't bleeding, but if I was it wasn't profusely.

Thank you! I just didn't know if it made any sort of difference if the cuts were not completely closed.

It doesn't matter about the cuts,HIV becomes inactive & unable to infect once exposed to air.
