Surgery

Several months ago I had surgery on my eyes.  Prior to the surgery they gave me a blood test to check for items prior to the surgery.  Do they screen for HIV in that test?

No they just check your cbc count and maybe your liver functions just so they know how you will react during surgery

Ok thanks!  I have not had sex in 7 months and it was giving oral to a male, I had anal sex 16 months ago, I believe is was protected, I asked the guy to use a condom but can not confirm he did.  Could a swollen lymph node apear now?  I just have a single bump, its tender and it kind of behind my testicles, on my leg closer to my but cheek.

Could be a hernia who knows best thing you could do at this point is GET TESTED

And I have a problem with you saying you cant confirm if he used a condom or not ALWAYS be safe ALWAYS no matter what sex last a few minutes HIV is a life time

where are the lymph nodes located?  Is there a link to photos?  I am sure its not a hernia, it feels like its in the fatty part of the skin, I am not sure its a bump from in the skin or under the skin.  I thought they were on the front part of your leg on the sides of you testicles not on the back.

nodes are all over your body quit assuming and go see your dr ok

Yes, I understand but I am scarde, wont be able to see my doctor until next week and am looking for some easing of my mind.  At what time of infection will a lymph node swell?  Can it happen 18 months later?  Would it be just ONE single bump?

Thanks, I thought this board was to help people, if your only answer is get tested what is the purpose?  Sorry, I was just looking for help.  I just found this bump today, I cant see a doctor until next week unless I go to the emergency room.

I cant help you dang you said yourself its just one node if it was hiv you would have manyyyyyy nodes swollen not one sorry I am not being rude

Take your concerns to the anxiety forum your problem IS NOT HIV

Thank you!  Thats all I needed.. its only ONE single bump in the back part of my leg and could be in the skin not under it.  It could be an irritation or a pimple, I can squeeze the skin and lift it with the skin.  So I am not sure its even a node.  This stuff is just so scary.  I was told no risk, not to test.  Risk was unprotected oral with swallowing and anal in the dark, at a bathhouse.  Guy put on a condom but I turned around and bent over so who know what happend from there.

I dont go to those places anymore... I only went to 3 bathhouses one in Chicago, one in Amsterdam and in my town.  I had sex only once, anal.  The oral I meet on the internet, went, sucked, swallowed and left. I was just experimenting am married and not having sex with extra marital partners any more.
