There is just one under my jaw that is larger than a pea. Bean sized and tender. The other side seems to be normal and non-tender. It has been about 4 months since the potential incident I was just wondering if I might of missed it during the ARS period and it could still be there. Is this possible? Do they usually persist for ever after being infected?
my son's were about the size of golf balls, protruding from the side of his neck. he looked kind of like the elephant man. the one under his arm was even larger and his groin area was affected also. his are just starting to go down...after being on meds for a few months. i'm sure it is different for everyone.
Oh is your son infected. Sorry to hear that. How is he doing? Yeah, I was with a girl with a bad reputation. Had protected sex but i was kissing her and I have gum disease so that is the part that worries me that I might have been bleeding. I think it just got tender know. You think it is possible for it to get big and tender after 4 months?
You need to stop postiong about an irrational fear/risk. It is an insult to those that had a real risk. Kissing is zero risk, especially when you consider the fact that she probably wasn't affected.
everyone here thinks they have a risk and experience symptoms of HIV infection. Guess what out of thousands that have posted on here I have only seen one turn pos. You risk is nil. she had unprotected with an HIV infected male several times. You are no risk. You are the one with a problem. You can't get it from kissing. I kissed and fingered a girl with HIV while dating for over 3 years and never got it.
Ok.... So HIV/ARS related lymph nodes are always externally visible or discernable? And how do you know that you have a pea sized node? Is that visible too? Besides my sore throat and head aches and rashes, everything else has just been speculative. Under my arms felt funny and my arm felt numb, but no visible lymph swelling. My groin area felt tense and like tight muscles after a bike ride, but no visible swelling that I could tell. I don't feel in that area enough to know if there is any difference there, plus that occured after my arms had stopped bothering me. And I had a stiff neck, but I could have just been sleeping bad... Lol... Anyway, there is so much information and speculation that I can't help but get hopeful when I read through posts, but there is still the questioning. And I'm glad to see that you dated someone with HIV Extreme, means there is hope someone may date me someday if I have it.
but what does it matter who it was. it happened many months ago and i kept in touch with her for a long time. there has only been one that i know of too.
I think I remember the incident as I've traveled along these boards for quite some time (feeding my anxiety). I didn't know she turned positive/was told it wasn't true by numerous people on the board :)
i had an encounter about 3 months ago. i was with this guy we used a condom but he took it off, when i realized it i made him stop. i felt highly violated. i was tested soon after and the test was negative. soon after my test one drunkin night i had an unprotected encounter with a female..i am a female as well. almost 2 months later i have been feeling very tired, i have 2 tender lymph nodes under my chin, i also have a painful gland in my armpit. i have a sore throat as well. i was frightened so i just recently got the rapid hiv test done. the results where negative but im still very much worried because i was told about a window period that when tested the virus cannot be detected..i have never been more scared in my life.
