If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
The CT scan results came back and he showed me the enlarged lymph node and about 3 other slightly enlarged lymph nodes. He said I had lymphadenopathy.
I am at week 16 and I still have the swollen parotid lymph node near my left ear. I am scared because the antibiotics did not work for me to reduce the swelling of the lymph node.
I am scheduled for a follow up with ENT for another CT scan in two weeks from now. He said he would schedule a biopsy of lymph node if I still have swollen lymph nodes in the CT scan.
Please tell me if I need to take another HIV test just to rule out HIV for the cause of swollen lymph nodes for nearly 4 months.
oh, do not get freaked out.....I also have lymphs everywhere and bigger on the left side pf my body, sore troath for 4 months and aftas everywhere.....headaches for a month, oral and vaginal candida and an 18 week test negative. I am concerned as I have very low immune system , but everybody sais I am fine and nuts. You will probably get the same A.
I have lymphs nodes bigger on the left side too (noticable near left ear too, and around armpits, groin, and everywhere etc), its been a year already and I wonder what is it. I hope we are all fine here.
I will re-post in that forum.
But can anybody in members please respond to my question. If anybody knows if a HIV+ person had any ARS symptoms resembling mine?.
Thank you very much.
