If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
I am stll having diarhea (diarrhea) off and on, and I have a strange sensation of pain that seems to migrate from place to place. It's almost like my muscles and skin are very sensitive to pain (like if I press in certain areas it feels like a burning pain).
What I was wondering and would help me tremendously to know, is when we speak of the Hiv symptoms of sore joints, muscle aches, diarhea (diarrhea), etc, are these ARS symptoms that one would have experienced from 2 to 4 weeks after exposure, or are these general HIV symptoms?
Symptoms mean absolutely nothing. NOTHING. Though I wouldn't encourage you to spend any more time looking at HIV related symptoms, try to search through these threads to see the COUNTLESS people who have all the symptoms, obsess about them endlessly, get tested and are negative. Bingo. Symptoms go away.
Seriously, there are hundreds of nonspecific viruses that cause such nonspecific symptoms. Anxiety can also do the same thing.
Guilt is effing with you. I told you this would happen. There is really nothing you can do unless and until you accept your test results. Since you've already tested at 6 weeks and don't accept those results, you'll have to wait til 12 weeks. Hopefully, you can put this to rest then.
First, thank you for replying. Second, I would like to apologise for aggrevating everyone with my obsessiveObsessive-compulsive disorder Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder behavior. It is just that these feelings are so wierd, intense, and very scary because they ironically only occurred after this exposure. I want to beleive the 6 weeks. I want to more than I want to win the lottery. If these stupid pains would go away I think I could
You're not aggravating me. I hate to see you doing this to yourself, that's all. You at least have some grasp of the fact you are obsessing, unlike some who frequent this forum.
I won't comment on your question furthur, b/c the answers are readily available and won't serve to reassure you regardless. You can literally find anything, any theory, any symptom relating to HIV and ARS on the web, and the sadDepression thing is that many make less than accurate statements. If you want to find encouraging things, you can find them. If you want to find distressing information, it abounds everywhere.
Again, the only thing that will settle this (hopefully) for you is a test at 3 months. Endlessly researching symptoms/timing will only serve to heighten your anxiety, not alleviate it.

Again, thanks for your words.
