Teak - tender vs. non-tender lymphadenopathy?

Hi again Teak,

I read on a post by Dr. HHH that the swollen lymph nodes associated with ARS are usually non-tender.  Did I understand this correctly?  If it is indeed true, can you explain why?  I'm just a bit confused, since I thought that tender lymph nodes are indicative of acute infection, while non-tender ones are usually more related to malignancies and such.

Thanks for clearing this up!
