Teak, Mike, others please can you answer my question

by AZ69, Apr 26, 2007 12:00AM
I still can't find a direct answer to my question. Nightsweats where you wake up your t-shirt is wet so as your legs without fever (97.7-99 all day) Can they beARS related. Do ARS nightweat always occur because of high fever breaking during the night? Can high anxiety produce nightsweats 2 weeks post oral exposure and it last for 10 days (no other symptoms). Thanks a lot guys

First, you shouldn't relay in symptoms, ok? They are never reliable. Yes, anxiety can cause night sweats with no fever. True night sweats(ARS related) occur only when there is fever, usually pretty high fever.

I got night sweats two nights while I was extremly nervious waiting for time to go by before my HIV test. Then I got a 10 week negative and never got another one.

1. 97.7-99 is not a fever at least ARS fever,ARS fever is very high (immediate medical attention would be warranted)

2. Yes, Night sweat and Dryness of mouth are the two biggest symptom of anxiety

3. To tell you from my own personal experience, Night sweat is due to anxiety, even I was bothered a lot by it

any ways what was your exposure ?

Ooops, missed your exposure, didnt read it there

Oral Sex = NO RISK

Not even one CLEARLY documented case in the history of HIV

Stop worrying, if that was the only exposure you had you don't even need any testing

See a counselor for your irrational fears

You're fine, HIV is not your problem :)

can anxiety causes your body to feel like if you have a fever? like 3 weeks with temps going from 98.4 to 99.5 to then to 97.5 all those temps readings i took them from my arm pits. is that accurate so does that means that i had more than what i posted above? because when i used to go out from my house the temp would go down a little bit. it got to 37.5 in my room or in a hot place. but once i stopped thinking about it, it goes down to 37 ot 36.5 (98.5) but i never had any other symptoms or night sweats just my body feeling warm. i even did exercise all those days and i did not feel tired. so do you guys think that it could be stress and auxiety of being afraid of catching HIV? i am waiting for the 3 month to take my test. i had sex with my new girlfriend. she said that she is clean. but i dont feel bad or nothing. and i had this fever since june 25 and we are in july15 the fever went away two days ago. i am reading 98.5 so i think is normal. but why i was having this change of temp for a month since june 25, when i started to get worried about this. so do you guys think that it could be anxiety for a month conbined with hot flushes? Teak told me that this is not HIV fever but i am wondering what it is.

Thanks

See your doctor. ARS fevers don't last that long.
