Teak answer this

Teak can anything make an HIV test positive besides HIV. Can other viral infections or anything confuse the HIV test and make it positive.

yes i understand all of that, but i want to know if there is anything that will make that first test positive besides HIV.  I am going to ask this question to Dr. HHH

I'll answer this question. Teak can comment as well.

If the antibdoy test is positive, it is usually repeated (That's what we do in the HIV testing center). If it's positive again, a Western Blot test is done. So, if something else other than HIV causes the antibody test to be positive, it will be negative with the WB test. A positive result is considered conclusive with the WB test.
